On that occasion, United’s kit was black and red but this year’s strip was surprisingly leaked by Footy Headlines, includes a boldly colored design that is said to be inspired by the Adidas EQT design of the 1990s.

Unlike the FIFA 18 kit, the FIFA 19 one could reportedly be available in physical form in limited numbers, with fans reportedly able to get their hands on one for around €90.

The Footy Headlines report also remarkably claims the kit could be worn by United in official matches – but there is no official word on this.

It is not clear when the strip will be released on the game but mid-December appears likely given when last year’s versions were introduced.

Headlines of United’s summer tour were also dominated by Mourinho’s public calling out of Anthony Martial.

The Portuguese boss was unhappy at his forward’s decision to go home for the birth of his son and then fail to return to the tour.

Martial has been back in Mourinho’s good book of late though, netting six goals in his last seven matches.
